17th ERRA Energy Investment and Regulation Conference

Mr. Aziz Camcı, Chairman of PETFORM, gave a speech on the vision of Turkey’s natural gas trading market in 17th ERRA Energy Investment and Regulation Conference.

The seventh edition of the 17th ERRA Energy Investment and Regulation Conference has been held on 08 – 10 October in Antalya. More than 200 delegates from 40 countries participated in this conference.

Mr. Camcı stated Turkey has 30 years’ experience in Natural Gas Market, and at this period, in parallel with the expansion of transmission capacity of natural gas and distribution channels , a huge increase in demand has been observed.

Mr. Camcı expressed that at the last two years liberalization process has accelerated with the establishment of Organized Wholesale Natural Gas Market and with the help of legislation conducted. He underlined the fact that largest market in the region as of the volume of gas consumption is in Turkey. He stated that Turkey was in an extremely advantageous position to become a natural gas trading center.
