9th Scout Meeting

2018 Exploration & Production Consultation Meeting with the participation of the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Fatih Dönmez and Senior Bureaucrats has been performed by PETORM in cooperation with General Directorate of Petroleum Affairs in Ankara, Sheraton Hotel on 20 September 2018. At the meeting, the companies operating in the Exploration - Production Sector have found the opportunity to consult with notably Mr. Fatih Dönmez and the relevant Decision Makers about the problems they have encountered and discussed the solution proposals.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Mr. Fatih Dönmez stated that it has been wanted to achieve a sustainable-growth economy and independent policies. So as to obtain this it had better to increase domestic production while coming to a level that can be controlled in foreign sources which are foreign-dependent products. Mr. Dönmez has pointed out that the oil exploration works were started for the first time in the northern and southern border regions after 35 years later, and they have realized the possibility of collecting gravite data from air fort he fisrt time in Turkey, also He said that they carried out rock samples to update the geological map of the region.

Chairman of PETFORM Mr. Aziz Camcı expressed that they believe the more investors have benefited incentives in the exploration and production sector, the more investments in sector will increase. At the opening speech of Mr. Aziz Camcı, he said, “The investment level of exploration & production companies must be increased. We take great care of the steps that will fully reveal the potential of our country. The acquisition of domestic resources into the economy is a common denominator for all of us. We believe that the investments will increase if the exploration and production sector benefits from investment incentives.”
