16th Hydrocarbon Exploration-Production Sector Consultation Meeting

16th Hydrocarbon Exploration & Production Consultation Meeting was held on November 06, 2024 with the participation of sector stakeholders, especially General Manager of Mining and Petroleum Affairs Mr. Arslan Narin. At the meeting, the companies operating in the Exploration - Production Sector have found the opportunity to consult with notably Mr. Arslan Narin and the relevant Decision Makers about the problems they have encountered and discussed the solution proposals. General Manager of Mining and Petroleum Affairs Mr. Arslan Narin stated that field activities continue without slowing down, espacially with the investments of TPAO and domestic/foreign companies. And with the discoveries made in recent years, especially with the increase in Sakarya Gas field and Gabar production, new record production levels have been reached every day. Mr. Arslan Narin also stated that a total of 387 million barrels of crude oil and 13.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in the last 22 years, thus preventing energy imports of 32.1 billion USD. PETFORM Chairman Mr. Aziz Camcı remarked that they are following with happiness and excitement the Sakarya Gas Field in the Black Sea reaching a daily production level of 7 million cubic meters, and the daily production in the Gabar Field exceeding 50 thousand barrels in 2024. Aziz Camcı stated that with the discovery of the Sakarya Gas Field, our hand has become even stronger in line with our goal of becoming an energy trade center. Aziz Camcı also stated that increasing the market share of the private sector, both in the exploration-production aspect and within the scope of market activities, will contribute to this process.
